I work with individuals who appear capable, strong, and high functioning on the outside yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected internally.

Many of my clients are insightful and motivated but find themselves stuck in patterns of people pleasing, chronic stress, shutdown, or over responsibility. Together we slow the process down and begin with the nervous system.

Healing begins with safety.

My approach integrates Polyvagal Theory, somatic therapy, attachment science, and cognitive restructuring. I help clients understand how their nervous system learned to survive and how to gently retrain it toward regulation and confidence.

MORE ABOUT Dr. Benn

I specialize in supporting individuals who feel deeply, especially children and teens who are labeled sensitive, anxious, or intense.

Sensitivity is not weakness. It is depth.

I work with high achieving students, burned out professionals, and women in transition who want to understand their patterns without shame and build sustainable regulation tools.

My approach blends academic rigor with embodied healing. I integrate nervous system education, parts work, somatic practices, and cognitive tools to help clients move from survival patterns into clarity and agency.

I believe therapy is a partnership rooted in safety, attunement, and empowerment. Together we identify patterns of overachievement, emotional suppression, or chronic stress and replace them with grounded confidence and self trust.

Personal Perspective

As a therapist, educator, leader, and entrepreneur, I understand the weight of responsibility and the quiet exhaustion that can accompany high standards.

My work centers on helping others reclaim softness without losing strength and lead their lives from regulation rather than reaction.

Healing is not about becoming someone new.

It is about returning to who you have always been beneath the pressure.
